Terms and Conditions

  
By registering for the Celebration of the Profession Reception and Dinner (“Celebration of the Profession”), Ethics
Breakfast Session (“Ethics Session”) and/or the CFP® Professional Symposium (“Symposium”), you agree to the following terms and conditions: 
 
  1. All registrations must be paid by credit card to Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) through the online registration form process. Registration will be open until November 16, 2018. Any registrations and payments received after November 16, 2018, may not be accepted at the discretion of FPSC.
  2. The registration fee is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may arrange for a substitute delegate for the Celebration of the Profession, Ethics Session and/or Symposium prior to November 16, 2018. If you are unable to attend and do not make arrangements for a substitute delegate before November 16, 2018, your registration will be forfeited. 
  3. Although presenters and topics are confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of FPSC may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the presenters and/or topics. As such, FPSC reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised presenters, topics or other event content if necessary. Any changes will be updated on www.fpsc.ca as early as possible. FPSC is not responsible for any loss or damages as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation of the Celebration of the Profession, Ethics Session and/or Symposium. 
  4. FPSC shall assume no liability whatsoever if the Celebration of the Profession, Ethics Session and/or Symposium is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other occurrence that renders performance of this Event impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather or another emergency.
  5. In case of cancellation or postponement, FPSC reserves the right to either retain the entire registration fee and to use it for a future FPSC event, or to reimburse the attendee after deducting costs already incurred for the organization of the Celebration of the Profession, Ethics Session and/or Symposium and which could not be recovered from third parties.
  6. By attending the Celebration of the Profession, Ethics Session and/or Symposium, you are providing your consent for FPSC to photograph you and include your image on online or print materials. You also consent that any written feedback you may submit may be included in future FPSC marketing and promotional materials. You will not be identified by name without providing direct permission.
